She still needs a small nap but has put up such a fight I tried to have her do quiet time in her room. I put up the gate so she couldn't escape. She definitely hated the gate and screamed for a good ten minutes until she decided to bang big plastic toys against the top of the gate to knock it down. My boys never tried this. After successfully knocking it down three times, and getting three toys confiscated she resigned herself to crying on the floor for 15 more minutes. After a few minutes of quiet I found her asleep like this. I couldn't resist taking a picture. She now does quiet time without a fight as long as I don't install the gate.

You're a good mom, Zae. It's not easy to give a kid tough love at nap time. Lately, our fight with Max has been taking his shoes off at night-time. He wants to wear shoes 24/7, which hasn't been good for his skin. Can 2 year-olds get athlete's foot? I don't want to find out.
It's amazing how they refuse to give up the fight! Even as they are falling asleep, they never think " I should just get in bed". Good Luck!

Oh, Quite time is such a battle. It's so worth it though. Devin has a quite time too. though he doesn't sleep anymore, he still needs his down time and sometimes requests it. (To my surprise!)
