I ran out of quart jars so I sent my Dad down to their basement storage room to get the old old jars of food so I could empty them out and clean them (and by clean, I mean sanitize 2 times). He came up with the grossest jars of peaches and cherries. At least I think they are cherries. By their color I'd say they look more like olives. These are jars of fruit that my Grandmother canned when she lived in our house. She hasn't lived there in over 20 years. It smelled pretty nasty sending them down the disposal. On a side note....Thanks Grandma for not pitting the cherries before canning them. My disposal has never made such lovely sounds.

Okay that is so gross and the pitted cherries made me laugh. Hopefully your disposal still works!
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
