Summer Activities

For some reason blog spot is not showing the pictures when I download them. It is just showing the mumble jumble of words and characters that computer engineers understand. I don't understand where to put the text between the pictures or how to arrange the order. I'll just write a synopsis of all the pictures up here and you can decide which pictures they go to. Some of the pictures we took on a day trip to BYU. We saw the paleontology, bean and art museums. Katherine was very nervous standing by the big stuffed bear. If you look closely at the picture of the kids in front of the sprinkler sculpture you can see Katherine's favorite funny face---crossed eyes.
We visited our cousins in Logan over Savannah's birthday. We played at a splash park and had a cool birthday cake made out of doughnuts. Victoria found out the hard way why you shouldn't run into Joshua's head. They crashed into eachother playing and she knocked out one tooth, loosened another and bled quite a bit. You can see the evidence of her fat lip. I felt so bad for her. She was very good about it and didn't complain hardly at all. If Josh had the same injury I'd lose my mind with all of the whining and complaining. Go Toria!!! We celebrated the 24th with fireworks too.
Joshua earned his bear months ago but because of baseball in the early summer we couldn't make it to any pack meetings. I was so proud of him and can't wait to see how he enjoys webelos.
The picture of Katie and I Jeff snapped when we were having an argument about bed time. Katie would say "ONE BOOK" and I'd say "GO TO BED" over and over again. She thought it was hilarious.
The picture of the ping pong table is from a day we spent in Payson helping Grandma with her yard. She needed a lot of top soil shoveled into the sprinkler trenches and had asked the young men to come over and help. Joshua was mesmerized by the older boys and spent the entire afternoon observing them. He also worked for hours along side them and earned 25 bucks from grandma. Woo Hooo!

I love the Katy and Zae at battle picture. Who won?
You know, I've always wondered...why is it called the bean museum?
Oh, and those are some pretty dinky fireworks. You should come see Texas fireworks. Our neighbor spent $400 last year. Too bad I think burning money is stupid!

Moms always win!
The Bean Museum was named after Monte L. Bean. I've obviously been there too many times to know that. Heck it's free.

Our fireworks were pretty lame. It's all we had leftover from the 4th and I didn't feel like buying more. Burning money gets boring after too long.

My blog does the same thing when I go to add pictures! It's so frustrating and I don't know how to fix it! Anyway, looks like you guys have had an eventful summer. Are you excited for the kids to be starting school? Take care and keep in touch!

Rebecca, I found the way to stop the picture problem. When you are creating a new post there are two tabs on the right hand side of the box. One says compose and the other says html. Once I clicked on compose the mumbo jumbo majically turned into pictures. Give it a try!
