AAAAaaahh aren't baby animals sooo cute?
Looking at cute pictures like this has been good for me lately. For those of you who don't know I am 11 weeks pregnant and counting down till the 13th week when you are supposed to start feeling better. I have been much sicker with this one than the first three babies. Jeff says it's becuase I'm having twins. Other women say it's becuase I'm over 30 now. Both of those reasons are cruel. Anyway, I'm trying to survive the days while my family and home gets further and further behind. Josh and Kyle are acting out more because I'm not available as much. The house work is rediculously behind and don't even mention my list of "to dos". Even poor Jeff who has been such a trooper. He loves to spoon before he goes to sleep but the only position I can fall asleep in lately is on my back. Hopefully I will be able to make up for all of the things I haven't been able to do when I'm feeling better. How do other women do it? I hear of other women that are throwing up for 9 months and are so weak their husbands have to hold them in the shower so they don't fall down. I'm so lucky yet still so miserable. I guess I need to keep looking at cute baby pictures and let the hormone release help me.

It's All in the Family.....unless the neighbors join in!

What good is a sport unless the whole family can participate? Jeff and our neighbor Chad like to have mini golf tournaments aroung the complex. As soon as they pull out their clubs (no matter how secretly) all the kids grab their clubs and join the party. Good thing the littlest ones have short attention spans and quit after the first couple of holes. Amazingly this day only our children were the tagalongs. In our complex most of the kids parents are never outside playing with them so when our Daddies go outside their is a tidal wave of children asking to play too. It's kindof sad to watch these kids looking for parent's attention but mostly it's super annoying!!! Needless to say we will be happy when school starts up in less than a month. We've had enough of the summer here.

Hobble Creek

We went camping up Hobble Creek with some friends a few weeks ago and had a blast. The kids were filthy of course and the food was awesome. Everyone slept well except when I woke up Jeff to prove to him that an animal was walking outside the tent. He didn't believe me at first and then he heard it shuffle in the bushes and knock up against the tent pole. He believed me then. It was nice because then I was able to go to sleep but he was now aware and stayed awake listening for more sounds.
Daddy-Daughter time on our hike.
Our friends pulled out their daughters air bed and helped the kids float down the creek. Even the parents got in on the action.

Joshua's Baptism

Josh was baptized on July 5th with 2 other boys from our ward. I didn't take the oppourtunity to get a picture of him in his jumpsuit so I had to hurry and sneak one right before another kid got baptized. Can you see the man in the font ready to go? I'm sure I made some old lady or aunt super mad but I had to get the picture! Here's Josh in his new suit. He is too handsome!
I promised Joshua I would make this 7 layer jello salad and here it is. I'm super glad I took a photo of it because that's all we'll ever see in this house again. That was a lot of work. At least everyone was excited and ate it all gone. It would have been terrible if nooone ate it.

4th of July

Grandma and Grandpa Carlson, Great-Grandma Venice Weston and Uncle Brent came out during July for Joshua's baptism. Since they are Californians they don't get to enjoy personal fireworks. We treated them to a good old-fashioned Utah firework show. We hope they weren't too bored.

Cardinals

This was another summer of watching little league games with "Cactus". (Joshua's baseball nickname courtesy of Great-Grandma Venice. We think it stems from the Joshua Tree cactus in Southern Utah) Joshua claims he hates playing catcher the most be he came to be quite good at it even though the gear is bigger than he is. We came away with 2nd place this year and we were proud.

More catching up!

I know I'll pay for this picture later but how cute is that?!

Joshua got to go to Jeremiah Johnson Day camp. To quote Josh- "That was the best day of my life!"
